Yet another, “I hope this isn’t true” moment

From the Gadflyer are revelations that the Saudis may be working rather stridently, and perhaps illegally, to help get Bush re-elected in November. The same news source – The Gadflyer – has a different take on the same interview. I’m not sure the second interpretation is as strong, especially in light of the first posting. I haven’t seen the interview yet, but I expect it to mirror closely what we are beginning to hear in the 9/11 commission hearings – consistent with view 2, but with great nuggets that article 1 gives us.

Tell #NYC Mayor Bloomberg he Rocks

Mayor Bloomberg has strongly supported the the Islamic Center being planned near Ground Zero and has also strongly criticized those who have used anti-Islamic rhetoric and justifications for opposing the proposed center. I think that this is an important step from the Mayor, who has not always taken sympathetic positions vis a vis his Muslim constituents. First thoughts on London

These thoughts were actually not my first on the London bombings today. However, they have recently come to me, and I want to document them. The delay in my posting was due to the fact that I was waiting to hear from/about friends and family in London. (shukrunlillah, everyone seems to be OK).
