Today is World AIDS Day. At the very least, please wear a red ribbon. If you can, learn and educate about how HIV is spread. Silence is the greatest threat.

Torturing America
Via Juan Cole, it seems that we’ve been holding innocent people and torturing them for fun. CNN is reporting from a different source that torture is being carried out by us. I say “we” because we are all complicit in this act. As Americans we should be holding ourselves to a higher standard, and demand that our representatives hold themselves to an even higher standard than that. PATRIOT Act refused. A truly patriotic act.
According to the American Street, there’s a library out in Washington that’s standing up to the Patriot Act. Drop them a line and say “thanks,” and if you’re capable, drop them a couple of bucks as well.
