Adoption Game

I don’t know what’s going on at 20/20, and I’m surprised at Barbara Walters for doing an adoption game style promotion for a news piece. I’m shocked the challenge is on legal grounds to the theft of an idea instead of outrage that such advertising, and perhaps such games, are permissible.

TV is getting good again

I’m a sci-fi junkie, and I loved the original Battlestar Galactica (I was single digits then). I’m really enjoying the new series. The creator has a blog and he’s just posted about the “torture episode.” It’s worth a read. via Eschaton.

ACTION ALERT: Support CBS

Recently CBS aired a piece on peace options in the Israeli-Palestinian debacle. I thought the segment was fair and universally irritating, doing the job our press is supposed to do: tell the stories, based on reality, that make-up conflict, not make-up stories, based on a desired reality, to tell a conflict. J Street is telling me that they are getting slammed for doing their job. You can see clips of the show and sign a petition supporting CBS on their site.
