Pamela Geller’s Anti-Islam Org Labelled A ‘Hate Group’. Manhattan blogger Pamela Geller, the fiery and offensive Atlas Shrugs blogger who organizes vehemently anti-Islamic protests, is not just a far right-winger, but is actually now part of a ‘hate group’.  That’s coming from the Southern Poverty Law Center, who classified Geller’s organization, Stop the Islamization of America, in the same class as the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacists.

I think it’s great that some people think they can have a beer with Bush or his cabinet…. But to be honest, I don’t want any of my current friends as POTUS (sorry guys and gals).

Not minimum, living

Father Jake has a good post on the failure of a Senate bill to increase the minimum wage. I love the FDR quote about the minimum wage and its implicit moral component. Riverstone picks up the idea and places it in the context of the teachings of Hazrat Isa. The two of them bring up an interesting point: If the people voting down this legislation are not interested in representing the will of the American people, nor in practicing the teachings of Hazrat Isa, are they the representatives of America? Christianity? If so, is this really what they stand for?…
