Political Correctness Run Amok

To be honest, as an educator, my beliefs, religious and political, do influence the way I present material and look at the world…. I don’t agree at all with what these faculty members are doing, but the response is so disproportionate and hypocritical that I had to point it out to people.

The Muslims have power. [We don’t really, but what a great fantasy, and the best thing is, non-Muslims are having it for us.] But the same people who will give us the power, need to take aware the power we already have. Maybe we got it by being in league with gays and Mormons.

Is Torture Utilitarian?

Glad other people are speaking up about the immorality of torture. As politicians argue, and our pragmatist-in-chief tries to find an angle, we can agree that not all moral dilemmas can be reduced to a cost-benefit analysis of pleasure and pain.
