Question

I went to Dawnsinger‘s site today. Followed one of his links to Radio Free Blogistan. For those of you who don’t know, most of the islamicate collective are Apple fans, and we’ve been considering voting Sam I Am off the island for not having an iPod. Anyway, on RFB, I saw this link about news aggregators. I use NetNewsWire Lite, and so looked at Pulp Fiction. On his blog he had a question, that I wanted to share with you.

Question: How do you feel about the statement: “Any god that would condemn me for seeking the truth isn’t worth believing in to begin with.”?

Personally, since one of the 99 names of God is “Al-Haqq,” “The Truth,” any search for truth is a search for God, and vice versa. The problem with the likes of the Taliban, Wahhabis, and even the Mehdi’s Army, is that they consider their reality the Truth, and turn into an idol. It’s not God who is denying access to truth, it is people who don’t know the difference between opinion and fact.

  1. I would love to be the proud owner of an IPOD. But they don’t make one big enough to hold all my music and I can’t really afford one. So, maybe it would be cheaper to buy me one than to mobilize the necessary forces to vote me off the island. 🙂
