One thing I find very odd in this election is that national security is supposed to be the number one concern of the Republican Party. This is where their strength is. Since 2001 the greatest threat to the US is supposedly the invading Muslim hordes. The Hill is reporting that Peter King has received threatening phone calls as his controversial hearings on the “radicalization” of the American Muslim community approach. This is contemptible. Such actions have no place in our society. We also hope anti-Islam activists do not seize on these threats to broadly impugn Muslims.
