Via Svend, I see I made a list of top 50 Muslim blogs. As he says, it seems to be a content farm, so I’m linking to his post, he deserves the link love. I’m number #49, he’s #2. No justice in the world. 🙂

At the risk of unseemly self-promotion and despite my abhorence for sites of this ignoble nature–which are basically ruining the Internet by filling it up with low-quality articles designed to attract search engine traffic, making useful, unique content near-invisible to the casual surfer in the process–I have to admit that this list of “Best 50 Muslim Blogs”  serves a useful purpose, so I’m making an exception and passing it on.

My name is islamoyankee | My Name Is Me

Rachel from Velveteen Rabbi got me to write a piece for this important website.  My name is islamoyankee | My Name Is Me. I lived through 9/11. My Muslim identification became more important. I read an article about the two things the French fear/hate: Americans and Muslims. The author of the article coined the term “islamoyankee.” I appropriated it to describe me as being a proud New Yorker and committed Muslim.

    Maybe the compiler was just going down the list in alphabetical order.

  2. You’re too generous. I haven’t been analytical on this space in a while. Most of that writing happens at Religion Dispatches now. You deserve it akhi.
