We really need more people like this guy. Almost gets blown up and still has the ability to think of others, and avoid hating a whole group of people. Note that Jewish-Muslim commonalities also exist in our difficulties and how we choose to ignore them.

Someone who has actually read the Qur’an and figured out like all scripture, it is full of contradiction. The Meaning of the Koran – NYTimes.com. But I should concede that I haven’t told the whole story. Even while calling Jesus the word of God — and “the Messiah” — the Koran denies that he was the son of God or was himself divine. And, though the Koran does call the Jews God’s chosen people, and sings the praises of Moses, and says that Jews and Muslims worship the same God, it also has anti-Jewish, and for that matter anti-Christian, passages.

A new, 62-foot-tall menorah, possibly the world’s largest, rises from a mountain overlooking this Indonesian city, courtesy of the local government. Flags of Israel can be spotted on motorcycle taxi stands, one near a six-year-old synagogue that has received a face-lift, including a ceiling with a large Star of David, paid for by local officials.
