As has been pointed out in several places (1, 2, 3), one of the London bombs went off in a predominately Muslim area. There is a war occurring within the Muslim community; there are those who would throw out 1400 hundred years of intellectual history and development and who would bomb the ummah back to the time before the Prophet (PBUH) verse those who believe Islam is a religion that matures by the grace of God, and struggles with His majesty and revelation every day.
I’ve commented before (1, 2, 3) on Muslim-on-Muslim violence. In this instance, I think it’s worth noting that the terrorists in London are targeting Muslims. To me, the reason is simple, they cannot cope with God’s revelation, so their interpretive framework is to deny it and create a religion based on a world-view that is limited to their particular vision of reality. However, they attempt to claim legitimacy from revelation, and can only do so if they remove variations that challenge their vision. If Islam were a monolith, how could these terrorists kill other Muslims? It is not; there is a huge spectrum of interpretation in the Islamic tradition. Ironically, it’s this spectrum that the terrorists deny – something they share in common with Islamophobes. Ignorance produces strange bedfellows indeed.

It is not credible of you to suggest that muslims in the UK are predominantly targeting other muslims. That simply is not true.
The whole “civilised” world hates muslims.
Your premise that terrorists hate muslims is horrificly incorrect. Which “mental” world do you live in, the sane or insane? I am sure it is the latter.
Moving away from your ridiculous thought, I never see the “good” muslims (if there are any) stand up publicly in the world and go against these bad, terroistic muslims. Where are they? Do they exist? I don’t mean a little candlelit vigil after the U.S. 9-11 nightmare where they sing songs and claim they are not all bad.
Most sane people want to live in peace. What my western mind can not understand is that if I were a muslim, a “good” muslim I would be so d*mn furious about muslim terroist activity I would band with other “good” muslims and fight them.
Here is the thing, a country’s choices predict their future. It is just like in grade school, if you play nicely with others, others will play nicely with you. This does not say you need to give up the Koran or trade in muslim beliefs, it simple means you should respect what playing with others will afford. Playing with other countries nicely will afford many muslim people in third world countries food, a great livilihood, a better life.
Do you really thing that western people care about your religion? We don’t care if you worship bats. If that is your thing, that is your thing. What we care about is that you playing nicely. Intelligent people fight with their minds, not with their fists. That statement says a lot about terrorists.
Many muslims generalize the western world. Do they not know that many N. Americans are against Israel killing the Lebonase? I guess those people that were against Israel’s acts would be lumped in with those that side with Israel. Just like grade school, you lump us in groups and we will lump you in groups. It is just that simple.

Islam has itself to blame for the way it is percieved by non-muslim people. You say one thing with one side of your mouth and do the other. The Wahhabi indoctrination is non-inclusive of non believers, and so I should be put to the sword right? Hey its your little kooky rules.
There won’t ever be any trust or peace btw us and you. I can accept that and don’t expect it. I don’t tolerate you or anything to do with Islam because it doesn’t make sense to me in the short time I have here on earth. I am just as prepared to defend that like you guys do with your fanatical pursuits. Albeit, from a purely defensive posture. I am no threat to come waltzing into your schools or church and blow myself up. When I see you on the street or coming to my place of employ, I do all that I can to avoid any contact with you. No trust, and no pretense is how I engage you.
